San Vicente Reservoir is held back by San Vicente , roller-compacted concrete, placed and rolled in lifts like earthfill but setting as concrete , standing 338 ft high and running 1,425 ft along its crest , built across San Vicente Creek in San Diego County , near Lakeside . It was completed in 1943 , and is owned by City of San Diego (a local government owner) .
