The dam behind Lbc Dam 32

Lbc Dam 32 is held back by Upper Brushy Creek WS SCS Site 32 Dam , an earthfill embankment, holding the pool back by sheer mass and an impervious core rather than by the strength of concrete , standing 23 ft high and running 1,136 ft along its crest , built across TR-BRUSHY CREEK in Williamson County , near COUPLAND . It was completed in 1960 and modified in 2020O , and is owned by LOWER BRUSHY CREEK WCID;TAYLOR SWCD (a local government owner) , to a design credited to M & E CONSULTANTS;USDA NRCS.

Its recorded primary purpose is flood risk reduction — the pool is drawn down between storms so there is empty space waiting for the next flood, which is why this level can fall in dry weather and climb sharply after rain . It also serves flood risk reduction;fire protection, stock, or small fish pond.

It is founded on unlisted/unknown, with a unlisted/unknown;unlisted/unknown core. Its spillway is ungated: once the pool reaches the crest, water leaves on its own and the operator cannot hold it back. The spillway opening is 106 ft wide. Its outlet works use slide (sluice gate)1;uncontrolled2.
